I have been in front of many Vets with many dogs. I have always had 6-7 dogs of my own and have seen them through various disease processes.
It’s important to ask lots of questions of the Vet. If you perceive that the vet is uncomfortable answering your questions, go with your gut, find a new Vet. You have the absolute right to ask questions about any action the Vet wants to take, you should fully understand all options in treatment and be the one who decides and agrees to the treatment option chosen.
Use every opportunity with a Veterinarian – ask questions and learn. Require that Vet to prove to you that she/he knows what they are doing and why.
